Kindly Expressing: Grateful for 15 Years of Stories

Nov 03, 2025 - Category: News

In communications, words matter whether spoken in a meeting or written in an online article. From the beginning, CyanPoint has chosen to lead with kindness. We conduct every PR campaign with kind words, which starts with meaningful conversations with clients, partners, and collaborators – grounded in integrity, excellence, and teamwork.

Our goal is simple: let kindness shape our words, actions, and outcomes. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to attract kind clients who mirror that character. There’s a natural rhythm in these exchanges, a flow of mutual respect and trust that shines through in our countenance, competence and confidence.

The word cloud illustrates how our treasured clients have described their experiences with us: listens, thorough, reliable, tenacious, and creative. We are humbled by the kind words. Our cup overflows, and we are truly better for it.

Research backs it up. One study shows “everyday simple acts of kindness can contribute to boosting your mood, reducing stress, and possibly alleviating symptoms of depression or anxiety.” According to the Initiative on Health, Spirituality, and Religion at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in writing on the healing power of kindness, if more people embraced kindness, it “can lead to a healthier, more flourishing society.” The initiative also points to research that reveals how kindness can improve a sense of engagement with life and social connectedness.

The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation reinforces the research, reminding us that kindness creates a ripple effect that makes life more meaningful, strengthens self-esteem, and builds deep connections. Here are some ways we go about our day with kind gestures:

  1. We genuinely complement a colleague for a job well done.
  2. We smile at people in public places.
  3. We text a positive note to a friend.

Simple acts. Significant impact.

Throughout November 2025, we’ll share client testimonials – and some welcoming words of our own – that reflect the power of kind words in action. They echo stories that built trust, amplified voices, and connected healthcare and hearts one speaking engagement, one campaign, and one news report at a time.

Fifteen years in, we’re grateful for the growth, the partnerships, and the kind words exchanged along the way. We plan to keep the kindness going, making it fresh and frequent. May you do the same and have it become a way of life. You might find yourself happier and healthier because of it.

Inspired by Kindness

Founder Karyn Odway has learned the most about kindness from her younger brother, Gary. He exemplified it from birth, so he had been teaching her for more than 50 years. He always saw the good in people. His doctor once said Gary had a strong “empathy gene,” as is often observed in people with Down syndrome. He had an innate ability to detect a range of emotions—from sadness to gladness—even before you realized it yourself. Whether you were hurting or celebrating, Gary responded with tenderheartedness, gentle gestures, and a forgiving spirit.

Gary passed away last December. This 15th Anniversary Celebration focused on #KindWords is dedicated to him. Gary’s kindness inspires us to continue to lead with gentle strength – at work and in life.

What kind words can you share today—at work, with friends, or at home?
